How to create the Sims 3 Text with Photoshop CS3

The Sims 3 became available last June 2, 2009 and I just started playing this game last week.  This game is so addicting! I remember when me and my husband were playing The Sims 2 two years ago, we would only stop playing when it’s time to prepare our meal and after eating, back on playing again.  We would also sleep late because of this game.  Now that Sims 3 is available, for sure we would be addicted to it again.  My husband doesn’t want to start playing this game yet but me, I started playing and I love this game because of it’s new cool features. I even bought a domain so that all my sims, screenshots, houses that I created will be posted on that site.

Anyway, I want my site’s header to be in Sims text so I’ve searched on tutorials on how to make Sims text using Photoshop CS3.  It is the only site where I found a detailed tutorial on how you can create texts using Sims font.  Note that you must download SimsLLHP font first – I downloaded it here.

I followed the instructions on that site and made some adjustments to make my text look like The Sims 3 and here is the result of the sample text I created:

Your Baby as Commercial Model

We parents wants our baby to be recognized or to be a standout among other babies her age.   If there is a chance for our babies to be in a commercial or a print ad, we would be very proud, right?

Anyway, I took my daughter today to a talent agency in the vicinity where we live in to for her to have a VTR.  The first time ILA had a VTR was when she was 10 months old.  The nanny was taking my daughter for an afternoon walk when the VTR guy asked her if she wants ILA to have some VTRs taken.  She then told me about it and then we dressed ILA up and then I took her to the talent agency.

The talent agency texted me Sunday evening during that time and I thought it was wrong sent because she stated the name of a different girl.  She said that ILA has a schedule for a shoot with Ajinomoto (lol). I told her that she had sent the wrong message and she didn’t reply.  The next day, I didn’t know that she texted again saying that the message was intended for us, that she just typed the wrong name but it was really for ILA.  By the time I read the message, it was too late and when I called her, she said that the shoot has already finished.  I just thought that oh well, it wasn’t really for ILA.

Then today, while the nanny and I took Iris for a walk, we saw a baby about ILA’s age, her mom combing her hair as if preparing for something.  We saw that they were about to go to the talent agency so we followed, hahaha.  When we went there, we asked the VTR guy again if there was a scheduled auditions.  He said that there was no scheduled one but if we want, he would take a VTR of ILA again to update my daughter’s record with them.  So we went back to the house and dressed up ILA again then went back to the talent agency.  Me, dad, and the nanny took ILA to the agency (dad came with us so that he can take some pics of ILA because the agency has good lightings).  ILA was so cute when I saw the pics taken by her dad.  She doesn’t look like she was our baby!

The reason why we took ILA to have a VTR is because we just want her to have some exposure.  Who knows, there might be another chance for her to be in a print ad or a commercial?  We just want her to have a good memories of he childhood.  Not all kids are given these opportunities.  We are just hopeful that the agency would contact us again for another opp

Pizza Cravings

Have you ever got what you want even if you know there are lots of obstacles you must encounter?  Me, I do that most of the time even just for a food – hehehe.

I’ve been craving for a pizza for a weeks now. I couldn’t have pizza delivered because my hubby doesn’t want pizza that much and also there’s just the two of us going to eat pizza so we won’t be able to eat all of that.

It was raining hard today in the afternon but I had to do some grocery to buy some things for my daughter.  Shopwise is nearer our place but I went to Waltermart just because of pizza.  Robinsons Supermarket in Waltermart has bread and pastries section where you could buy slices of cakes, breads, pizzas.  I took the chance and even if it was raining hard and the streets were flooded.  I still went to Robinsons.  It took me two hours just to do grocery and get my pizza which would only take 30 mins if I went to Shopwise.  But I don’t have any regrets because at last, I was able to eat pizza!  It wasn’t that good as Brooklyn or YellowCab but at least I was able to satisfy my cravings.

Restaurant City Connection Problem on Facebook

I have just started playing Restaurant City on Facebook.  I have been playing for 2 days and I must say it is addicting!  I am now on Level 6 – still have a looonng way to go.  I have learned some tips about Restaurant City and they are:

1.  To earn coins – shake on the trees around your resto as well as your friends.

2.  To earn money up to 2k, save your game leaving your restaurant functional (make sure your employees are 100% happy).  Then return after about an hour – when you get back, you’ll earn at least 500 coins depending on how long you left the game.  Close the application save computer resources.

3.  To level up or earn gourmet points, just leave on Restaurant City open while you are working or browsing, then just check the application once in a while.

So far that’s what I have learned.  I haven’t applied other tips I found while googling.

The only complaing I have about this game is it is very frustrating when I encounter different connection problems such as asking me to try again or to update flash player (which I already did) and there seems to be no fix except to try and try until I can access Restaurant City again!  I hope this issue could be fixed.
