Barbie Dolls

Published by dothy under Baby November 20, 2010

One of my daughter’s favorite toys is Barbie Doll. She loves playing with her barbies that the dolls are already worn out, with the hair tangled, no dress, no shoes but she still loves them. She has four dolls which we name Tanya, Niña, Sarah and Dolly.

One doll came with a sofa set with dogs and puppies. She also loves the dogs that she’s even brought it when we went on vacation last time.

I think she loves the doll because they are wearing princess dress and she loves to be a princess. She’s lucky since she has already a doll like this while she’s only two-years old. Me, I remember having only one doll at the age of 7 given by my godmother. :)

Maybe this Christmas, we’ll give her another doll to add to her collection.:)

Trick or Treat

Published by dothy under Baby October 30, 2010

My daughter attended a trick or treat Halloween party last Friday at a learning school at the ground floor of the building we live in. The school invited all kids in the community for this Halloween event and I had my daughter listed for only P150. The amount paid included a pumpkin bag, candies and loot bag.

Hubby was the supposedly the one to take her to it, but he slept at 12pm (the event was at 2pm). Thus, when I was waking him up, he was so sleepy, sigh. So her nanny was the one to bring her to the party. I just told her to bring my cellphone so that she could take videos and pictures.

Daughter wore the blue gown she wore when she participated as a flower girl at my cousin’s wedding. Her accessories to accompany the gown are fairy wings and a crown. They went down at 2pm, just as the activities were starting. There were some parlor games, picture taking and awarding of the best costume.

After the activities, they went to the commercial offices within the building for trick or treat. It took them 2 hours before they came back home. Daughter came back with a pumpkin bag with lots of candies and a loot bag, which has a toy in it. She was happy she thought she could eat all the candies and chocolates, but daddy, who just woke up that time, said no. So, she has no choice but to play with those. Good thing she haven’t eaten any candy yet so she doesn’t know how it tastes and she didn’t cry when daddy said to just play with those.

I just wished her dad was able to take lots of pictures with our camera so that the photos are a lot clearer. Anyway, there is still next year and that time, hopefully, I could be with her.

Your Baby as Commercial Model

Published by dothy under Baby June 20, 2009

We parents wants our baby to be recognized or to be a standout among other babies her age.   If there is a chance for our babies to be in a commercial or a print ad, we would be very proud, right?

Anyway, I took my daughter today to a talent agency in the vicinity where we live in to for her to have a VTR.  The first time ILA had a VTR was when she was 10 months old.  The nanny was taking my daughter for an afternoon walk when the VTR guy asked her if she wants ILA to have some VTRs taken.  She then told me about it and then we dressed ILA up and then I took her to the talent agency.

The talent agency texted me Sunday evening during that time and I thought it was wrong sent because she stated the name of a different girl.  She said that ILA has a schedule for a shoot with Ajinomoto (lol). I told her that she had sent the wrong message and she didn’t reply.  The next day, I didn’t know that she texted again saying that the message was intended for us, that she just typed the wrong name but it was really for ILA.  By the time I read the message, it was too late and when I called her, she said that the shoot has already finished.  I just thought that oh well, it wasn’t really for ILA.

Then today, while the nanny and I took Iris for a walk, we saw a baby about ILA’s age, her mom combing her hair as if preparing for something.  We saw that they were about to go to the talent agency so we followed, hahaha.  When we went there, we asked the VTR guy again if there was a scheduled auditions.  He said that there was no scheduled one but if we want, he would take a VTR of ILA again to update my daughter’s record with them.  So we went back to the house and dressed up ILA again then went back to the talent agency.  Me, dad, and the nanny took ILA to the agency (dad came with us so that he can take some pics of ILA because the agency has good lightings).  ILA was so cute when I saw the pics taken by her dad.  She doesn’t look like she was our baby!

The reason why we took ILA to have a VTR is because we just want her to have some exposure.  Who knows, there might be another chance for her to be in a print ad or a commercial?  We just want her to have a good memories of he childhood.  Not all kids are given these opportunities.  We are just hopeful that the agency would contact us again for another opp :)
