Merry Christmas!!!
An advance greeting to everyone! May you all have a day filled with love and happiness as you spend Christmas with your family. Let’s forget all about the problems and diets even just for one day, and for sure we will all enjoy eating.
Let’s enjoy with whatever we are doing, not only on Christmas, but in our daily activities. Let us also not forget to thank the Lord for all the blessings! Merry Christmas!

Have you read about the list of Holidays for 2011? I’ve read it from GMANews webiste. Most of the Holidays fall on a weekend, so it seems like it will all work and no play next year for most of us workers, or no vacation leaves be left for conversion?

December 27, 2010 is a Holiday
I’ve read from GMA News website that December 27th is a Holiday this year, instead of the original December 30th. So no changes with former Pres. Arroyo’s declaration before and Pres. Noynoy didn’t move it as well. If you have made plans already for a vacation, you don’t have to file a leave now.
There will only be three working days after Christmas and that’s on December 28, 29 and 30. After that, work resumes on January 3, 2011. It’s tempting to file a three day vacation leave since these weeks are surely a busy one. But for me, since we’ll just stay home, I’ll most probably work on these days.
Holidays this December 2010
I’m excited this month, not only because it’s Christmas season, but also because there are lots of holidays. Lots of time to spend with my family and no work to think of. What are the non-working days for this month of December?
- December 24 – Christmas Eve
- December 25 – Christmas Day (some have work from Mondays to Saturdays)
- December 27 – Rizal Day (originally December 30 but moved by former Pres. GMA to Dec 27)
- December 31 – New Year’s Eve
Some companies have a shut down for one week so that the employees can spend more times with their families. These days with no work are paid. For December 27, 2010, I’m not sure if Pres. Noynoy Aquino will follow the GMA’s former declaration but if we are going to follow what he did during Bonifacio Day, then December 27, 2010 will remain a holiday.
Are you planning to take a long vacation this Christmas? I won’t be taking a leave this time since we are not going out of town. My in-laws will be the one to come over (with lasagna and baked ribs) and since I couldn’t go with them, my hubby and my daughter will be the one to go with them. I do hope I could go with them, but I really can’t, due to my condition.
