Dreaming of a Vacation
I’ve been wanting to go on a vacation since the babies turned six months. But sad to say, it’s not yet possible. Hubby and I don’t want to risk the babies getting sick before they turned one-year old. It’s a hassle if one of them gets sick. So for now, we have no travel plans and will just stay at home. But next year for sure, we’ll be traveling. Even if we can’t go to Boracay or Davao, we can go to nearby travel destinations here in Manila. I wish we have a van or a motorhome so that we can bring my parents with us. I told hubby about it and he said we can only afford a motorhome insurance, but not the vehicle itself.
Anyway, it’s only a few months left before the babies turn one. So for now, the farthest we can go is to the mall, with only our eldest in tow.
It’s Summer!
Can you feel the heat? It’s summer and many are looking forward to their summer vacation, especially the kids. Summer means sleeping late for the kids, having vacation at the beach or traveling to our favorite summer destination. Where are you planning to go? Planning to go to Boracay, Palawan or Bohol?
For sure, many have already booked their reservations at hotels as early as three months ago. If not, you should reserve one now as many might already be fully booked, especially since Holy Week is near. Many people will flock Boracay, my favorite summer destination.
While many are planning to hit the beach, many prefer to stay at home and just do other stuff like clean the house, enroll their kids in a summer workshop or make their summer worthwhile by having summer jobs. Whatever it is, summer will surely worthwhile.
Anyway, summer for me and my family this year will just be staying at home since we have newborn babies. We cannot go to Boracay like last year. Definitely, we will be at the beach next year and I can’t wait for that. But right now, I’ll just drool at the pictures I’ve been seeing in Facebook of my friends at the beach.
Canyon Cove after Christmas
I posted yesterday that my husband wants to go to Acuatico after Christmas since his parents will be arriving from Davao. I was envious since I really want to go to the place. But when I inquired, I found out that all the rooms are fully booked until January 5, 2011. I asked when should a reservation be made and the staff told me that during Christmas season, bookings must be made as early as October.
No choice but to look for other beach resorts in Batangas. We found out about Canyon Cove and upon doing some research, we decided to reserve a room. I called Canyon Cove Beach Club and made an overnight reservation for two rooms. The Deluxe and Suite are already booked so I booked their Superior unit.
My daughter is already excited to swim and has been asking us since yesterday to go to Batangas. I told her that I won’t be able to go with them. I do hope she’ll be able to sleep without me, he he.

Acuatico after Christmas
My in-laws and sister-in-law will be coming over right after Christmas. My husband is planning to go out of town with his family. Even if I want to go, I can’t.
I won’t get envious if they will go to Subic or to any other resort in Batangas, but he found out about Acuatico Beach Resort and wanted to go there.
The beach resort is what my officemate and I were talking about months before. The resort is really nice with an infinity pool. I remember us talking about our Christmas party to be held there he he.
All of them, minus me and our helper will be left at home for two days. It’s okay though since I have no choice. I just asked my husband that we should go back there once I am able to.
