Getting Out of Debt
How many credit cards do you own? When I started out working, I got three credit cards. Being a newly grad who just started earning on her own, I bought a lot of things using these credit cards, thinking I can pay for it in the next payday. But paydays after paydays came and all I was able to pay was the minimum amount. Good thing (even if it shouldn’t be considered good), I wasn’t able to maximize all of the cards but still, I got myself in a lot of debt. My mom got mad at me because she knows I cannot pay for it, unless I apply for an installment. Guess what I thought she will suggest me do? Debt counseling. I thought she thought I’m that shopaholic.
Anyway, I’m lucky the credit card companies allowed the bill to be paid in installment for two years with minimal interest. After that, I only maintained one credit card. I’ve learned my lesson. I don’t want to be in debt again.
