Good day that ended in a bad one

My day started out smoothly, with my daughter waking up in a good mood and me able to do some posting before I went to the office.  At the office I was able to do lots of tasks and was able to finish early. Thus, I left an hour before to get the result of the mandatory drug test to be able to submit it when I go to office on Thursday.

I took a cab going to Glorietta to pick up the result and decided to buy pretzels from Auntie Anne’s to bring home to Iris and for me to have some change.  I took a cab from Glorietta going back home it was traffic so I was worried since I want to go home knowing Iris hasn’t slept in the afternoon and she’s waiting for me.

When the cab arrived at our place, I opened my wallet by then I remembered that I put the change in my pant’s pocket. I was in a hurry that after giving the driver a hundred bucks, I immediately ran up the stairs going to the elevator. When the elevator stopped at the floor where we live in, I saw Iris at the door waiting for me so I immediately hugged her and gave her the pretzel.  That’s the time I realized my wallet is GONE!

I know that I really lost it inside the cab and that there would be now way it would be back.  My IDs, credit card, ATMs, and healthcare card was there.  I immediately called the hotline for my credit card and ATMs to have those cancelled but the IDs, just thinking of the all the hassles I will go through to renew them makes my head hurts.  I’m still thankful that I left my husband’s ID, ATM and some of my other credit card at home and that my wallet doesn’t have any money in it!

Oh well, it’s a lesson learned that I should always be vigilant in my surroundings and to always check if I left something at the cab.  Another bad experience with riding a cab, huh?  It’s my fault this time though.

I’m just hoping that I the one who would get my wallet would be kind enough to give it back, even just the IDs.
