I Must Lose Weight!

Published by dothy under Contests February 7, 2011

I must have my weight loss goal for this year since I’ve gotten heavy since I got pregnant. My pre-pregnancy weight was 110lbs and now, I’m way over 160lbs! That’s too much gain weight, huh? It’s okay though since my doctor really advised me to gain weight and she didn’t put me on a diet since I’m at risk of having pre-term labor. So after I give birth next month, my weight could be around 130 – 140 lbs (minus babies’ weight, fluid, etc.). I still have 20 – 30 lbs to lose after. I won’t try to lose weight as soon as I give birth but hopefully at the end of the year, I’ll be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. How can I achieve that?

I couldn’t lose weight drastically as soon as I’ve given birth since I’m going to breastfeed again, but I’m planning to eat healthy and lessen my food intake to lose weight. I’m eating two cups of rice per meal so after I give birth, I would be back to eating a cup of rice. I also plan to eat less salty food as what I’ve done during my first pregnancy to lose weight. For exercise, I plan on running again four months after I’ve given birth. It’s the only exercise that is attainable for me.

There, I hope I could get back to 110lbs again by the end of the year.

This is my entry to Fat Girl No More blog contest answering the question – “What is your weight loss/health and fitness goal for this year and how do you intend to achieve this?”

New Facebook Profile Page

Published by dothy under Tech December 6, 2010

Another big changes for Facebook and this time, it will be about the New Facebook Profile Page. If before there were changes in the way the News Feed is displayed, now, it’s one’s profile page. I’ve seen some of my friends already tried out the new layout.

Some of the changes I’ve noticed are the person’s recent photos can be seen directly under his/her name (with font size bigger as well), after the info details. Also, the chat and poke is now place on the upper right corner, to the right of the person’s name.

The “mutual friends” were transferred to the right column, making more space for the list of friends. Lastly, I thought the tabs under the profile name is gone, but it was just transferred under the profile photo.

I’m not sure yet if I like the new Facebook profile page or not and I haven’t changed my layout with the new one. I think I’ll just wait until I get used to seeing it before I change my profile layout. If you want to change to the new one, you can check it here.

Campaign Against Child Violence on Facebook

Published by dothy under Kids Stuff December 1, 2010

A new Facebook campaign is ongoing and this time, it’s a campaign against child violence. I’ve read in an article that supposed to be, from November 22 – November 29, people are encouraged to change user profiles on Facebook to a cartoon from one’s childhood. I’ve seen my friends changing their profile pictures to their cartoon characters and posting this on their wall:

Change your facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until monday there should be no human faces on facebook, but an invasion of memories. This is to STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN.

I’ve just seen it today so perhaps the campaign is still ongoing. If ever I am to change my profile picture, it would be Care Bears. I love Care Bears and I missed watching them. I also think it’s better to have Care Bears picture than my existing profile photos, LOL!

This got to stop

Published by dothy under Games November 1, 2010

This got to stop! I’ve been in front of the computer the whole day every weekend playing with you. From the morning I wake up until the moment before I sleep, you’re the one open on my browser. I couldn’t even get to blog because of you. My husband even got mad at me and told me to stop.

How can I end this addiction? Maybe I have to force myself not to open Facebook so that I won’t be tempted to play. I’ll just watch movies or blog instead of playing.

When should I stop? I’ll force myself to stop now. Bye Bejeweled Blitz! Well, until you’re available on Samsung Galaxy. :)
